Participants will view a 12-minute documentary that explores the role of relationships in promoting resilience in children with learning disabilities. Presentation includes a discussion with film subject and the filmmaker, and an opportunity for the audience to share strategies that promote success through building positive relationships between students and teachers.
This session will provide participants with an overview of the many challenges faced by teens with language-based learning disabilities as they transition to college. Participants will learn how to identify these challenges, build a successful transition team to address these challenges, monitor progress, and react to unanticipated challenges.
