What Are Language-Based Learning Disabilities?

The term language-based learning disabilities (LBLDs) was created in an effort to better understand and address the overlapping learning disabilities observed in children who struggled in school. In recent years, the term LBLDs has been used to describe challenges with written and spoken language, mathematics, ADHD, and executive functioning. Dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia are commonly associated with LBLDs.
